Scotland’s only authentic event of its kind, the Traquair Medieval Fayre offers an unbeatable mix of medieval entertainment, from jousting to jesters in the grounds of Scotland’s oldest inhabited house. A wonderful family event with jousting down the great grassed avenue of Traquair as well as a cannon firing display to start the event, archery, military drills and the occasional skirmish throughout the weekend!

Highlights include Companion Dog Show with classes, sheep dog demonstration, agility, walks and mini circus, all in the beautiful grounds of Traquair House.

The Peebles Outdoor Film Festival returns for a slimmed down summer outing ahead of the next main festival weekend in Jan 2022. Making full use of the long days, this first-ever summer POFF features a host of outdoor sessions (from running and biking to themed walks, paddlesports and more) before audiences head back to the Eastgate Theatre each evening for a stunning selection of films from around the world.
Instituted in 1827, The Games are the oldest organised sports meeting in Scotland and are part of a wider ten-day festival with events and fun for all ages.
