Neidpath Barmkin, nr Peebles

Sleeping six in three bedrooms, this gorgeous and atmospheric cottage is the perfect spot for either a romantic getaway, or a family holiday. Cosy and inviting, the Barmkin nestles alongside Neidpath Castle in a truly exceptional location – close to the river, with a pretty cottage garden to add to its charm. Many Scottish baronial homes had ‘barmkins’– in this case a building that was once part of the castle’s defences.

 

 

Dilkusha, Peebles

Dilkusha is a handsome Victorian house built in 1897. It is set high on a hill in the centre of Peebles, with magnificent views of the town and surrounding countryside. The luxury accommodation is a separate flat on the lower ground floor of the building and consists of two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, reading area, television and games room, bathroom and en-suite shower room. The flat is furnished to a very high standard, with solid oak flooring and a locally-built kitchen with Smeg appliances. 

 

 

Priorsford Cottage, Peebles

Whatever your reason for visiting the Tweed Valley, this charming Victorian cottage promises a peaceful sanctuary packed with homely comforts and modern touches. The Trail House provides flexible, self-catered accommodation for up to 14 guests at the foot of Glentress. It’s an ideal base to enjoy all that the Tweed Valley has to offer. A spacious five-bedroom house, The Trail House sleeps up to 10. The next door Wee House sleeps up to four in two bedrooms. They can be rented together or separately. Kailzie Big Lodge, nr Cardrona

Situated between forest and river just 3 miles from Peebles, Kailzie Big Lodge can sleep up to 27 people. It has 5 bedrooms (including an accessible room) and is an ideal base for families as well as walking, cycling and school groups. A striking upgrade in 2022 has transformed the lodge with new kitchen, high speed broadband, secure storage for bikes and industrial drying facilities.

Perfectly located in the heart of bustling Innerleithen, Room@1 Chapel Street sees seven individual, boutique-style studio rooms. Beautifully designed, all are ensuite and come complete with a kitchenette. There’s also a drying room for storing wet or muddy gear and secure bike storage. Situated right above an excellent gastro pub and pizzeria and with a buzzing cafe over the road. Cosaig Self Catering, Innerleithen

Comfortable, homely accommodation full of attention to detail for both two and four-legged guests! With two bedrooms and two shower rooms (the main one being an accessible wet room), the cottage is all on one level and is suitable for assisted wheelchair access. Children are most welcome, and the cottage has toys, games, a highchair and much more.
