Scots Pine Tearoom, Eddleston

“Set in the rolling hills of the Portmore Estate on the outskirts of Eddleston, our tearoom feels warm and welcoming from the minute people step through the door. We offer fresh, home-cooked produce, with afternoon teas a real speciality, courtesy of our on-site baker. With an outdoor play area, we are very child friendly. We love dogs too!”

- Linda Fraser, Scots Pine Tearoom

The team are on-hand for bike maintenance, repairs, new bikes from top brands like Pivot, Kinesis, Whyte and Frog, demos, accessories and clothing, as well as advice on the best trails in the valley. We aim to be an all-inclusive bike shop welcoming not only mountain bikers but road cyclists, families, commuters and everyone who likes riding bikes.”

Guests include bikers, walkers, holidaymakers in couples, groups or multi-generational families. We offer a home from home, ‘ski chalet/modern country cottage’ feel and warmth. In our experience a comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen, large social space, secure bike storage and good showers make an active holiday.”

Tweed Valley Bikes, Innerleithen

“Based at the heart of some of the world's best trails, our shop grew from our long standing operations on the trail and we're now home to top bike brands Santa Cruz, Nukeproof, Orange, Ibis and Kona Bikes. As partners of the award-winning Dirt School and Tweed Valley Guides, our rider-first focus runs through everything we do, from sales and demo to servicing and repairs and even choosing what product we stock, all of which is tried and tested by our team to ensure that what we recommend is what we truly believe in. If you're visiting the area, be sure to pop in even if it's just for some friendly trail advice."”

- Janey Kennedy, Tweed Valley Bikes

Zenwalls Gallery, Peebles

“Lucky to be located in a prime position on Peebles High Street, Zenwalls is a contemporary art gallery that offers regularly changing exhibitions by established artists and photographers, as well as exciting new talent. There is a real emphasis on experimentation and interpretation, often with a local flavour. Our window displays give a taste of what’s inside, and are always a big draw for passers-by.”
